IRK: Information on the Processing of Personal Data
- The administrator of personal data is Opole University of Technology, located in Opole (45-758), at 76 Proszkowska Street.

- The provided personal data will be processed for the purpose of conducting the student recruitment process and – in the case of admission – for handling the study cycle at Opole University of Technology.
- Personal data is processed for recruitment based on Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation of April 27, 2016 (hereinafter referred to as GDPR) in connection with the Act of July 20, 2018, Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 85). The processing of data to maintain an individual account in the Internet Recruitment System (IRK) for future recruitments will be possible based on a separately given consent (Article 6(1)(a) of GDPR) in the IRK system. Consent may be withdrawn at any time by making changes in the IRK system.
- In the case of admission to studies, personal data will be processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR in connection with the Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 85).
- Personal data may also be processed on the basis of the legitimate interests of the administrator, which include the right to establish, pursue, or defend legal claims (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).
- The administrator does not share data with third parties, except: entities authorised by law, and in the case of applying for studies under a double degree agreement, personal data provided during the recruitment process will be transferred to the partner university.
- Data will be stored for the time necessary to fulfil the purpose: 50 years for admitted students, and 6 months for non-admitted candidates (from the end of the recruitment process).
- The data subject has the right to access their data, rectify it, limit its processing, and lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. The data will not be subject to automated decision-making, including profiling.
- During the recruitment process, the data subject has the right to withdraw their consent for the processing of personal data.
- Providing data is voluntary, but necessary to participate in the recruitment process.
- In the case of applying for accommodation in a student dormitory, personal data will be processed solely for the purpose of reviewing the application for a place in the student residence, during the period from July 28 to August 17, 2025. The personal data will not be subject to automated decision-making, including profiling.
- In the case of applying for a place in a student dormitory, the applicant is obliged to promptly notify the Student Housing Administration of any changes in personal data (notification in written form).
Please note: Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.
