WHAT SUBJECT IS WORTH PASSING AT THE MATURA EXAM?
Modern foreign language and 2 subjects from the following: mathematics, computer science, physics (with astronomy), chemistry, language Polish.
An electronics engineer with IT interests is a sought-after and valued specialist. He will find work wherever modern electronic devices integrated with IT systems are produced or used. Such specialists are sought by companies producing electronic equipment that communicates wired or wirelessly with external IT systems. In particular, the skills of a graduate in Electronics and Computer Systems are used in applications of intelligent buildings, factories and cities, medical devices, the automotive industry, automation and robotics, as well as wherever there is a need to collect and process data. In addition, thanks to his skills, he will be a valued engineer during the implementation of The Internet of Things (Internet of Things), 5G, artificial intelligence and the Industrial Revolution 4.0 (Industry 4.0). After obtaining pedagogical qualifications, he can find employment in vocational and technical education.
Studies last 7 semesters in full-time mode - S (full-time).
The studies end with the award of the professional title of engineer.
Among the basic contents of education are, m.in: mathematics, physics, computer science including programming techniques and languages, circuit and signal theory. Among the directional content there are issues in the field of electronics and computer science. The first group includes, m.in, issues related to: construction of analog and digital electronic components and circuits, microprocessor technology, embedded systems, industrial programmable controllers, wired and wireless data transmission, power electronics, electromagnetic compatibility and electricity conversion and storage systems, as well as 3D printing. The second group of content is related to m.in: computer systems with small, medium and large speed, issues of digital signal processing, the use of stationary and cloud databases in embedded systems, programming mobile devices, working under the control of dedicated embedded software (firmware) and operating systems: Windows, Linux, as well as mobile systems and artificial intelligence. In addition, content in the field of so-called soft skills such as: project management, use of IT tools in the project management process and team work on the design and development of the device are discussed.
Most of the classes take place on the second campus of the Opole University of Technology in modernly equipped laboratories. Electronics and Computer Systems is a field of study whose content has been adapted to the current needs of the job market of the electronic and IT industry, with particular emphasis on the local market.
