DETAILED TOPICS OF THE COURSE

The course is intended for PhD students and the Opole University of Technology teachers. The goal is to familiarize participants with the Polish language in areas of knowledge and skills and selected lexical and grammatical aspects at the A1 level according to the CEFR.

Course is conducted with application of coursebooks:

  • Stempek I., A. Stelmach, S. Dawidek, A. Szymkiewicz, Krok po kroku język polski. Poziom A1/A2, Kraków 2013.
  • Kołaczek E. Gry i zabawy językowe. Język polski jako obcy, Prolog, Kraków 2019.

COURSE PROGRAMME

SPECIFIC TOPICS

  1. The Polish Alphabet and spelling. 2 godz.
  2. Greetings and Farewells. 2 godz.
  3. Numbers 0 – 100. Equations – addition, subtraction, multiplication, division. 2 godz.
  4. Personal Pronouns, the Verbs: to be, to be called. 2 godz.
  5. Where are you from? Where do you live? 2 godz.
  6. The conjugations of the verbs form the „-m/-sz” group. 2 godz.
  7. Self-presentation. Presentation of others. 2 godz.
  8. Where is the mug? (Things in the classroom). What is it? Who is this? Is this…? 2 godz.
  9. Nominative case. Colours. 2 godz.
  10. What languages do you know? I know… 2 godz.
  11. Adjectives, describing people. 2 godz.
  12. Asking questions and responding to them. 2 godz.
  13. How old are you? 2 godz.
  14. Professions. What do you like to do? – hobbies. 2 godz.
  15. Review of the entire course material. 2 godz.

ADMISSION CONDITIONS

  • completion of the electronic application form at irk.po.edu.pl.
  • attending organizational classes,
  • paying the course fee

REQUIREMENTS FOR PASSING THE COURSE

Attendance at least 80% of all classes

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCES ACQUIRED AFTER COMPLETION OF THE COURSE

A student knows and understands foreign language theory and terminology enough to use a foreign language at the A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

A student has self-study skills.

A student can use a foreign language at the A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

A student is aware of the need to improve their knowledge throughout life and is able to select the appropriate learning methods for themselves and others.

A student understands the importance of teamwork and can take responsibility for the results of joint activities.
